Lead Blockchain Architect & Solutions Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly innovative and experienced Lead Blockchain Architect & Solutions Engineer to spearhead the development and implementation of cutting-edge blockchain solutions in Bloemfontein, Free State, ZA . This is a strategic role requiring deep technical expertise in distributed ledger technologies, smart contract development, and architectural design. You will be responsible for defining the technical vision, leading development teams, and ensuring the scalability, security, and efficiency of our blockchain initiatives.

Key Responsibilities: Design and architect robust, scalable, and secure blockchain solutions tailored to business requirements. Lead the development and implementation of smart contracts on various blockchain platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger Fabric, Solana). Evaluate and recommend appropriate blockchain technologies, protocols, and tools for specific use cases. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and business analysts, to translate requirements into technical specifications. Oversee the entire blockchain development lifecycle, from proof-of-concept to production deployment and maintenance. Develop and enforce best practices for blockchain development, code quality, security, and performance optimization. Conduct technical feasibility studies and provide expert guidance on blockchain-related challenges. Mentor and guide junior blockchain developers and engineers. Stay at the forefront of blockchain technology advancements, exploring new trends and their potential applications. Contribute to technical documentation, whitepapers, and presentations. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. 5+ years of hands-on experience in blockchain development and architecture. Proficiency in smart contract languages such as Solidity, Rust, or Go. Strong understanding of various blockchain consensus mechanisms, cryptography, and distributed systems. Experience with popular blockchain platforms and frameworks. Proven ability to design and implement secure and scalable decentralized applications (dApps). Familiarity with tokenomics, DeFi, NFTs, and enterprise blockchain solutions. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Strong leadership and communication abilities, with the capacity to articulate complex technical concepts effectively. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
