About the Role

Our client is looking for a dynamic Lead Civil Engineer to spearhead construction projects in Akure, Ondo, NG. This senior role involves overseeing all engineering aspects of construction projects, from design conceptualization to final implementation. You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and technical staff, ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Your duties will include reviewing and approving engineering designs, conducting site inspections, managing project schedules, and overseeing the procurement of materials and equipment. You will also play a critical role in ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and environmental standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in civil engineering, coupled with proven leadership and project management skills. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, planning, and execution of civil engineering projects.
• Supervise and mentor a team of civil engineers and technical personnel.
• Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Conduct site investigations, surveys, and feasibility studies.
• Oversee construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and timelines.
• Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and cost control measures.
• Ensure compliance with all local and national building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to facilitate project progress.
• Prepare progress reports and technical documentation.
• Implement quality assurance and quality control procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution; Master's degree is a plus.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and construction supervision.
• Demonstrated experience in leading engineering teams and managing construction projects.
• Strong understanding of structural engineering, geotechnical principles, and infrastructure development.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, structural analysis tools).
• Excellent project management, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in Akure, Ondo, NG, and contribute to its development.
