Our client, a rapidly growing technology firm specializing in cloud-based solutions and digital transformation, is seeking an exceptional Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer. This role is fully remote, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure across major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in cloud architecture, DevOps practices, infrastructure automation, and system security. Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation for automated provisioning and management.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for seamless application deployment and infrastructure updates.
- Oversee cloud security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), network security, data encryption, and compliance.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex cloud infrastructure issues, providing timely resolution.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand application requirements and provide appropriate infrastructure solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior cloud engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, services, and industry trends, evaluating their potential application.
- Define and enforce cloud governance policies and cost management strategies.
- Develop and implement robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Participate in architectural reviews and contribute to strategic technology decisions.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years focused on designing, deploying, and managing cloud environments.
- Proven expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP), with certifications being a strong plus (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
- Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Strong understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Deep knowledge of networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, firewalls, and load balancing in a cloud context.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Solid understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
