Lead Cloud Solutions Architect

Our client is searching for an accomplished Lead Cloud Solutions Architect to guide their cloud strategy and infrastructure initiatives in Kaduna, Kaduna, NG . This hybrid role demands a visionary leader who can design, implement, and manage robust, scalable, and secure cloud environments. You will be responsible for architecting end-to-end solutions that align with business objectives, leveraging leading cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Your expertise will extend to designing cloud-native applications, microservices architectures, and data analytics platforms. A key aspect of this position involves evaluating and selecting appropriate cloud services, ensuring cost optimization and adherence to best practices. You will lead a team of cloud engineers and architects, providing technical direction, mentorship, and oversight. Developing and enforcing cloud governance policies, security standards, and compliance frameworks will be critical. Collaborating with development, operations, and business stakeholders to define roadmaps and ensure successful project delivery is paramount. You will be expected to stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies and trends, translating them into actionable strategies. Designing resilient disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud deployments falls under your purview. This role requires hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, and CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, coupled with significant experience (8+ years) in cloud architecture and engineering. Proven experience leading cloud architecture design and implementation projects. Deep understanding of cloud security best practices, networking, and data storage solutions. Expertise in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a must. Strong knowledge of at least one major cloud provider's ecosystem is essential. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Experience with hybrid cloud environments and migration strategies is highly desirable.
