Lead Cloud Solutions Architect - Cybersecurity Focus

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Lead Cloud Solutions Architect with a strong specialization in cybersecurity to join their cutting-edge IT and Software team. This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions for a diverse range of applications. You will be responsible for defining cloud architecture strategies, translating business requirements into robust technical solutions, and ensuring the highest standards of security are embedded throughout the design and deployment process. Your expertise will be crucial in selecting appropriate cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), developing best practices for cloud security, and architecting solutions that protect sensitive data and critical systems.

Key responsibilities include designing secure cloud environments, implementing identity and access management (IAM) controls, configuring network security groups, and deploying security monitoring tools. You will lead the assessment of existing cloud infrastructures, identify vulnerabilities, and propose remediation strategies. This role involves collaborating closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure a cohesive and secure end-to-end solution. You will also be responsible for staying abreast of emerging cloud and cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies, and proactively incorporating them into the architecture. Providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and engineers will be an integral part of your role.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with extensive experience as a Cloud Solutions Architect and a proven track record in cybersecurity. Strong hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and a deep understanding of cloud security best practices, frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and tools are essential. Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or CISSP are highly desirable. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills are required to effectively articulate complex technical concepts and strategies in a remote setting.
