The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Computer Vision Engineer to join our team in Edmonton. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving the development of our next-generation computer vision technologies. You will lead a team of talented engineers, mentor junior members, and contribute to the strategic direction of our computer vision efforts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge computer vision algorithms and systems.
• Mentor and guide a team of computer vision engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in computer vision and machine learning research.
• Contribute to the overall technical strategy and roadmap for computer vision initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in computer vision and machine learning.
• Proven track record of leading complex computer vision projects from conception to deployment.
• Expertise in deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
• Strong programming skills in Python and C++.
• Experience with image processing, feature extraction, object detection, segmentation, and tracking.
• Familiarity with GPU acceleration and parallel computing.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
