Our client, a highly respected construction and development firm, is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Lead Construction Project Manager to oversee projects remotely. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to manage high-profile construction initiatives from anywhere in Nigeria. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale construction projects from conception through to completion, with expertise in planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management. You will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and timely delivery of projects. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as a deep understanding of construction methodologies and technologies. You will leverage advanced project management software and collaborative tools to effectively coordinate and monitor project progress, acting as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, design, procurement, execution, and closeout. Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies. Oversee and coordinate the work of site supervisors, contractors, subcontractors, and other project personnel. Ensure strict adherence to construction quality standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement proactive solutions. Manage project finances, track expenses, and ensure projects are completed within budget. Serve as the main point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory bodies. Conduct regular site inspections (virtually or through designated on-site representatives) and progress meetings. Procure necessary permits, licenses, and approvals. Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors. Prepare regular project status reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment, even in a remote setting. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, RPP) is highly desirable. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects. Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulatory requirements. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Procore) and collaboration tools. Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills. Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a remote environment. Demonstrated experience in financial management and budget control for construction projects. A thorough understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations in the construction industry. Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and to motivate teams from a distance.
