About the role
Position Summary
We are seeking a Lead Content Designer to shape product experiences across multiple areas at Teladoc Health. As a subject matter expert, you will lead content strategy, mentor colleagues, and work at the intersection of content, product, and design. A key focus of this role includes conversation design and the responsible application of generative AI in healthcare settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and shape content strategy, standards, voice, tone, and system thinking for major product areas.
- Design conversation flows, intents, and response frameworks for AI-powered chatbots and virtual assistants in member- and provider-facing healthcare settings.
- Partner with AI, clinical, legal, and engineering teams to ensure AI communications are accurate, safe, empathetic, and compliant with healthcare standards.
- Champion a human-centered approach by leveraging user research, analytics, and data science to drive content strategy.
- Lead cross-functional workshops to influence product direction and inspire innovation.
- Plan and write UX copy for mobile and web apps, handling complex interaction flows.
- Establish content standards, governance, and evaluation rubrics for generative AI outputs (including red-teaming and feedback loops).
- Mentor content team members and participate in hiring activities.
- Collaborate in Figma to shape design decisions and contribute to the content design system.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 8-10 years of experience in content design, UX writing, or a closely related discipline.
- Conversation Design: Proven experience writing dialogue flows, intents, and system responses for chatbots or virtual assistants (strongly preferred in healthcare settings).
- AI Knowledge: Working knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and generative AI tools, including prompt writing and evaluating AI-generated content in regulated industries.
- Tools: Proficiency in Figma and experience with Agile/Scrum workflows.
- Skills: Exceptional writing and editing capabilities, strong project management, and the ability to lead cross-functional conversations.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Preferred: Experience in digital health or wellness.
- Legal: Must be currently authorized to work in the United States. No visa sponsorship available.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $135,000 - $165,000 per year.
- Bonuses: Eligible for a performance bonus.
