In the Language Systems team, we define and uphold the foundational content and communication principles that ensure our product language remains unified, accessible, and reliable. By creating effective guidelines, developing innovative tools, and introducing efficient processes, we elevate the quality and scalability of our content.

Your Contribution

• Define Essential Standards: Craft language guidelines, best practices, and terminology that promote consistency across platforms.
• Innovate and Integrate Tools: Assess and implement state-of-the-art tools, including content quality assurance, terminology management, and AI-powered assistants, to streamline workflows.
• Document the Framework: Translate complex decisions into user-friendly documentation that serves as a reliable resource for teams.
• Develop Scalable Models: Establish governance frameworks that facilitate consistent decision-making across all teams and products.
• Empower Content Designers: Supply tools, guidance, and streamlined processes that enable writers to work efficiently and confidently.

Key Responsibilities

• Build robust governance models, including workflows, decision frameworks, and change-management processes that enhance content quality.
• Evaluate, pilot, and integrate AI-driven content tools to boost efficiency and consistency.
• Set criteria for tool selection, aligning solutions with HID workflows and content quality objectives.
• Create comprehensive documentation—standards, playbooks, system guides—to facilitate widespread adoption.
• Work closely with the design systems team to embed language foundations into product components and guidelines.
• Use Figma to create and refine content, ensuring standards are applied in real-world contexts.
• Coordinate with mobile, web, and vehicle content designers to ensure consistency across connected user journeys.
• Lead audits and reviews to maintain governance practices and content uniformity.
• Champion systems thinking and tool adoption within the HID studio related to language quality.
• Advocate for clarity, consistency, and system integrity in collaboration with product and design teams.

Minimum Qualifications

• A portfolio showcasing your expertise in systems thinking, content design, and the integration of technology in content processes.
• Proficiency in Figma, including components and plugins.
• Ability to create structure in ambiguous environments with a strong sense of ownership.
• Experience in shaping governance models, playbooks, or tool strategies for content systems.
• Deep understanding of human interface design principles and their impact on usability.
• Strong UX writing skills with a focus on precision and clarity.
• Comfort with technical terminology and concepts.
• Familiarity with AI-driven content tools like Ditto, Acrolinx, and Markup AI is highly desirable.
• Expertise in information architecture and complex content system structuring.
• A confident presenter, skilled at aligning teams and influencing stakeholders.
• A collaborative and supportive team player.
• Experience in creating standards and governance documentation.

Additional Qualifications That Are Valued

• Experience with evaluating AI/ML language models and content tooling.
• Knowledge of multi-modal and non-traditional interfaces.
• Familiarity with content operations and large-scale documentation systems.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this role is $105,600 to $140,700, with individual offers depending on various factors. There is also potential for bonus compensation based on individual and company performance.
