We are seeking a passionate and skilled Lead Cyber Security Analyst to support critical cyber operations in highly secure environments. You will play a key role in detecting anomalies, analyzing complex systems, and enhancing network security to protect high-value missions. Ideal Candidates May Have Experience In:

  • Cyber Protection, SOC, CSIRT, Incident Response, Vulnerability Assessment, or Blue/Red team roles.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage operational security tools and systems, including servers, firewalls, and network devices.
  • Analyze network behavior, investigate anomalies, and identify vulnerabilities to recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct security compliance scanning and verify findings with system users and administrators.
  • Collaborate with teams on incident response, system hardening, and operational improvements.
  • Document and report anomalies, vulnerabilities, and suggested enhancements.
  • Assist with policy development and any additional tasks as needed.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, CCNA Security, GSEC).
  • Preferred: Advanced certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, CEH, or other GIAC certifications.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with network defense technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection).
  • Proficient in network protocol analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump) and SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Kibana).
  • Experience in vulnerability scanning, incident response, and threat hunting.
  • Familiarity with Linux-based server and user environments, including troubleshooting and security configurations.
  • Familiarity with DoD cyber security frameworks (e.g., RMF, NIST 800-53) and system defense-in-depth architectures.

Knowledge:

  • In-depth understanding of network security, adversary techniques, and incident response strategies.
  • Proficiency with Ethernet, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, SSL/TLS, SMB, and RDP protocols.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies and secure system design.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML and Cloud technologies.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and investigative mindset.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and teamwork abilities.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing tasks independently.
  • Strong desire to grow and learn new skills in the cyber security field.
