Join our team to enhance go-to-market (GTM) excellence through deeper, predictive insights that bolster revenue stability, bolster forecasting confidence, and enhance post-sale execution.

The Lead Data Analyst, Customer Retention & Expansion is a key player in our centralized Revenue Operations Analytics COE, focusing on elevating gross and net retention, mitigating churn, ensuring renewal success, and boosting expansion results throughout the post-sale lifecycle. Collaborate with globally diverse teams, including Customer Success, Sales, Finance, and GTM leadership, to transform retention and expansion data into actionable insights, reliable analytics, and productive predictive signals that shape strategy and in-quarter operations.

This role requires a hands-on, high-impact individual who excels at blending analytical rigor with GTM strategy and decision-making.

Your Responsibilities Include...

Churn & Expansion Analytics

  • Develop analytical frameworks for gross and net retention, churn, renewals, and expansion across various regions, segments, and GTM strategies (Enterprise, Mid-Market, SMB; New Logo vs. Expansion).
  • Create cohort-based and lifecycle analyses to distinguish structural drivers of retention performance from timing, mix, and coverage effects.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, and Finance to unify bookings, renewals, and expansion analytics in a comprehensive view of post-sale performance.

Predictive & Diagnostic Analytics

  • Develop and implement predictive and diagnostic analytics (e.g., churn risk, renewal prioritization, expansion potential) utilizing SQL, Snowflake, and Python.
  • Operationalize predictive results into consistent workflows like renewal focus lists, risk segmentation, and forecasting support materials.
  • Work together with Data Governance and Business Intelligence to facilitate the integration of advanced analytics into production reporting or operational workflows.
  • Employ scenario modeling to aid forecast assessments, renewal analyses, and in-quarter risk mitigation.

Snowflake & In-Database Analytics

  • Utilize Snowflake and in-database analytics features (including Snowflake Cortex when applicable) to generate scalable, repeatable scoring and insights.
  • Construct curated feature sets and analytical views that ensure consistent utilization of retention and expansion signals across dashboards and analyses.

Data Marts & Domain Data Quality

  • Design and create domain-specific data marts in Snowflake to support retention, renewal, and expansion analytics.
  • Take ownership of metric definitions, analytical logic, and data quality for the retention and expansion analytics area, ensuring integrity and consistency across leadership reporting.
  • Proactively identify data issues, investigate root causes, and collaborate with Systems, BI, and Finance teams to correct discrepancies.

Executive Storytelling & Operating Cadence

  • Translate complex analyses into clear, executive-level narratives for forecast reviews, QBRs, and in-depth renewal assessments.
  • Proactively identify and bring to light emerging risks, trends, and opportunities before they manifest in backward-looking results.
  • Provide insights and analyses that contribute to recurring discussions led by RevOps and GTM leadership.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Revenue Operations, GTM Analytics, Customer Analytics, or a similar BI/Analytics role in a B2B SaaS or subscription environment.
  • Proven ability to analyze retention, churn, renewals, and expansion metrics.
  • Strong SQL proficiency and familiarity with cohorting, lifecycle analysis, and time-based modeling.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining dashboards using BI tools (Tableau preferred) and working directly with CRM and financial data.
  • Knowledge of Python and statistical methods for predictive or diagnostic analysis (e.g., regression, propensity analysis) is preferred.
  • Strong business insight, curiosity, and the capability to link data to decisions through clear, concise communication.
