About the role
Daily Responsibilities
- The Lead Data Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ensuring efficient data ingestion, transformation, and processing across the platform.
- Design and implement data ingestion pipelines (API, batch, FHIR).
- Develop ETL/ELT processes using modern data engineering tools.
- Optimize data processing performance and scalability.
- Implement validation and monitoring mechanisms.
- Collaborate with architecture and analytics teams.
Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must have resided in the United States for the past 3 years within the last 5 years.
- Must be able to complete/pass/hold at a minimum a federal public trust investigation.
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering.
- 5+ years working with big data tools (e.g., Spark, Databricks)
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms.
- Strong programming and data pipeline development skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
