About the role

All Native Group, a division of HoChunk, Incorporated, is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to provide technical leadership in the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise data solutions supporting DoW and Intelligence Community mission systems. The selected candidate will architect and implement scalable Extract, Transfer, Load and Extract, Load, Transfer (ETL/ELT) pipelines within secure cloud environments and support advanced analytics and business intelligence initiatives.

Essential Functions • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python, SQL, and Databricks (Apache Spark). • Integrate structured and unstructured data across AWS and Azure cloud environments (NIPR, SIPR, JWICS as applicable). • Implement data quality controls, monitoring processes, and governance standards. • Support data ingestion into enterprise analytics platforms (e.g., Advana or similar). • Develop and maintain executive dashboards using enterprise BI tools (Qlik, Power BI, Tableau). • Automate workflows using Azure Data Factory, Databricks notebooks, or equivalent tools. • Configure and manage cloud security controls in accordance with DoD policies. • Provide technical leadership, conduct design reviews, and mentor junior staff.

Education And Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics, Statistics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). Master’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, or related discipline preferred. • 3-5 years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or enterprise data warehousing. • Experience with Databricks and distributed data processing frameworks. • Proficiency in SQL and Python. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and presenting findings, • Experience in AWS and/or Azure cloud environments. • Experience supporting DoD or IC customers. • Experience with Palantir Foundry or similar enterprise data platforms. • Experience with Azure Synapse, Cosmos DB, Neo4j, or Kusto DB. • Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). • CompTIA Security+ (DoD 8570 compliant). • Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community infrastructure programs. • Familiarity with enterprise-level resource management and strategic planning processes.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time. • Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. • Expresses or exchanges ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly or quickly. • Frequently moves standard office equipment up to 25 pounds. • Must be able to work indoor conditions 90% of the time.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is full time position. Monday- Friday. Must stay until 4:30pm daily.

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out of the area travel and overnight may be expected.

Must possess or be able to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI security clearance
