At the Multi-Domain Sensing Architectures and Data Fusion Group, we have a deep understanding of sensing, tracking, and data fusion algorithms and architectures. We are looking for a seasoned data fusion and tracking engineer who will innovate and refine low-level fusion algorithms while integrating data from various, sometimes contrasting, sources. Our goal is to harness the unique strengths of each sensor to ensure robust performance in any challenging environment. Responsibilities
Your role as a Lead Data Fusion and Tracking Systems Engineer will involve:
- Assessing and advancing tracking and data fusion algorithms alongside system designs, contributing to larger architectural and system-of-systems projects.
- Collaborating with diverse teams, both internal and external, to tackle intricate technical issues.
- Designing and executing studies that validate algorithms and derive system design recommendations based on thorough quantitative analysis.
- Developing and presenting detailed analysis packages and briefings to our sponsors and key stakeholders.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, electrical engineering, statistics, or a related technical field.
- Over 5 years of experience in developing and evaluating tracking and data fusion algorithms and systems, with expertise in identifying and resolving design challenges.
- Proven knowledge in related technical domains: data association and correlation, state estimation, Kalman filtering, track-level fusion, and distributed data fusion.
- Proficient in modeling, simulation, and data analysis using MATLAB, Python, or similar programming languages.
- Strong communication skills with experience in preparing and presenting materials suitable for sponsors and external organizations.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time when necessary.
- Possess an active Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain a TS/SCI level clearance, with U.S. citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's or PhD in applied mathematics, electrical engineering, statistics, or related technical field.
- 7+ years of practical experience in tracking and data fusion algorithm development and evaluation.
- Experience mentoring junior staff and a proven ability to lead small teams successfully.
- Holders of an active Top Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain full TS/SCI level clearance.

The minimum salary for this position is $100,000 annually, with a maximum of $245,000 annually, depending on factors such as experience and education.
