Lead Data Support Analyst

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services space, is seeking a Lead Data Support Analyst to oversee and contribute to the reliability and performance of enterprise data and reporting platforms.

This role blends hands-on technical troubleshooting with team leadership, acting as a key bridge between business users, data engineering, and reporting teams. You will ensure data systems remain accurate, stable, and production-ready at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of data support analysts, ensuring timely resolution of data and platform issues
• Troubleshoot and resolve data load failures, access issues, and reporting anomalies across Snowflake, Sigma, and related tools
• Monitor data pipelines, health checks, and report refresh cycles
• Act as the primary escalation point for complex or high-impact issues
• Partner with business users and reporting teams to investigate discrepancies and ensure data accuracy
• Collaborate with data engineering to identify root causes and implement long-term fixes
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and dashboards to track incidents and performance metrics
• Drive improvements through automation, monitoring, and process optimization

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data analytics, data operations, or support, including 2+ years in a Senior/lead role
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL, and modern data platforms
• Experience with BI tools (Sigma, Tableau, Power BI) and their integration with data systems
• Solid understanding of incident management and root cause analysis (Jira, ServiceNow, Confluence)
• Proven ability to balance technical troubleshooting with stakeholder communication
• Snowflake ( nice so have)

Leadership & Impact

• Experience mentoring junior team members and leading support processes
• Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and accountability
• Experience supporting stakeholders across Wealth, Finance, Operations, Compliance, and Technology

Nice to Have

• Experience in financial services ( Wealth mgmt./ Asset mgmt.) / regulated environments
• Degree in Computer Science or related field
