About
The Lead DevOps Engineer plays a vital role in the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of the Services Delivery Platform and QTS Operating System applications. This position is ideal for individuals with strong technical skills, diagnostic abilities, and a keen problem-solving mindset.
Responsibilities
- Oversee AWS ECS and EKS management.
- Architect and implement infrastructure/pipelines for new services using technologies such as SpringBoot, Python, and Angular.
- Deploy services across DEV, UAT, and PROD environments.
- Create and manage Infrastructure as Code (IAC) with Terraform.
- Administer the installation and configuration of various solutions.
- Troubleshoot issues in Development, UAT, and Production environments effectively.
- Monitor platform performance using AWS CloudWatch and New Relic, while documenting utilized approaches and solutions.
- Engage in discussions to find solutions that support developer applications and needs.
- Contribute to the release management process.
- Deploy code and resolve any issues that arise promptly.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of five years of relevant DevOps experience, particularly in Microservices deployment and maintenance.
- Extensive experience with AWS.
- Proficient in Linux, Docker, Swarm, Kubernetes, and Ansible.
- Experience with Terraform, GitHub Actions, and related technologies.
- Knowledge of Postgres, Cassandra, scripting (bash, Groovy, Python), nginx, Tomcat, AWS CodeArtifact, LDAP, and Kafka.
- Strong technical, diagnostic, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with portal software, design, and development.
- Must be a US Citizen as required for federal customer contracts.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Solutions Architect Professional Certification is a plus.
- AWS DevOps Engineer Professional Certification is advantageous.
