Lead DevOps Engineer - Cloud Native

Our client, a cutting-edge technology company, is seeking an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to spearhead their cloud-native infrastructure initiatives. This role operates on a hybrid model, offering a blend of remote flexibility and essential on-site collaboration. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure using modern DevOps practices. You will lead a team of talented engineers, mentor junior members, and drive the adoption of automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code. A deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and scripting languages is essential. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing our development and deployment processes, ensuring high availability and performance of our applications.

Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate application builds, testing, and deployments. Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Oversee the deployment and management of containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes. Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions for optimization. Develop and maintain automation scripts for operational tasks using languages like Python or Bash. Implement and manage logging, monitoring, and alerting systems. Ensure the security of the cloud environment through best practices and security tooling. Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline the software development lifecycle. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues promptly. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum of 7 years of experience in DevOps, Systems Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering. Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their associated services. Expertise in containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes. Strong experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet). Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell). Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI). Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and monitoring tools. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. Experience leading technical teams is highly desirable.
