Lead DevOps GCP Engineer

Are you ready to set the technical North Star for a high-performing engineering team?

We’re looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to design, scale, and secure modern cloud infrastructure powering FastAPI backends and NextJS/React frontends — with reliability built in from day one.

The Stack You’ll Command:

• Cloud: Primary on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), strategic integration with Microsoft Azure

• Orchestration: Kubernetes managed via Helm

• Infrastructure as Code: Heavy Terraform

• Backend: FastAPI

• Frontend: Next.js / React

• Data: PostgreSQL (with a DB-agnostic mindset across diverse schemas)

• Security & Ops: Okta + Atlassian toolchain

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and mentor engineers while aligning infrastructure strategy with business goals

• Architect secure, scalable systems primarily in GCP, extending strategically into Azure

• Build seamless CI/CD pipelines that empower developers to ship FastAPI and NextJS apps with confidence

• Apply strong software architecture principles to infrastructure — delivering Reliability by Design

• Ensure high availability across Postgres and evolving data choices

What You’ll Bring:

• Proven Leadership: Experience mentoring engineers and managing stakeholders

• Cloud Mastery: Deep hands-on GCP expertise + strong Azure proficiency

• Kubernetes Authority: Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes and Helm

• Code-First Mindset: Strong Terraform skills and solid Python for FastAPI support

• Architectural Depth: Clear understanding of how modern frontends and backends scale
