Job Description
We are looking for exceptional candidates to join the Public Sector ECS Solution Engineering team. The ECS business is the highest-performing, highest-growth team in Public Sector, providing cloud solutions to government customers across North America.
As a Data & Integrations SE, you are the technical "closer" for our most innovative solutions. You will partner with ~20 Core SE's to transition from initial discovery into deep-dive technical engagements. You aren't just an architect; you are an agile strategist who can pivot from a Federal DOD conversation to a local municipality's Data Cloud needs in the same afternoon. You will be the bridge that connects Agentforce and Data Cloud to the core Salesforce ecosystem (CRM, Tableau, Slack, Marketing Cloud) through the power of MuleSoft.
The Pre-Sales and Sales teams will rely on your technical and product expertise to perform rapid technical qualification, deliver high-impact demonstrations, and provide architectural recommendations that connect technical solutions to business outcomes.
Requirements
Prior experience with MuleSoft (or comparable integration tools) and enterprise selling in a customer-facing role is required. Equally important is a self-driven motivation to learn new technologies and industries. Solution Engineers are master storytellers; they take complex technology and explain it in intuitive and compelling ways.
Responsibilities
- Drive High-Velocity Success: Thrive in a high-cadence environment, providing rapid-fire technical validation and "just-in-time" architecture without the need for prolonged POCs or deep workshopping.
- Master the Power of Three: Expertly align customer business outcomes to Data Cloud (the foundation), MuleSoft (the connector), and Agentforce (the intelligent action layer).
- Scale Technical Impact: Serve as a high-leverage resource for ~20 Core SE's and their corresponding Account Executive pods, acting as the subject matter expert who turns complex data hurdles into clear, actionable sales paths.
- Lead Technical Discovery: Conduct targeted discovery meetings to analyze and clarify requirements, supporting detailed solution proposals that move at the speed of the ECS business.
- Navigate Public Sector Diversity: Demonstrate fluency across the Public Sector landscape, navigating the unique security and compliance conversations required for Federal/DOD, Aerospace, State and Local, and Canadian government entities with ease.
- Maintain Cross-Cloud Curiosity: While acting as the expert in Data & Integration, maintain a "pro-level" working knowledge of the core Salesforce stack to ensure a seamless "One Salesforce" experience.
- Collaborate for Growth: Partner with Product Management and Marketing to share field insights that continuously improve Salesforce’s Data and Integration products.
- Build Trusted Partnerships: Build relationships with internal and external partners to qualify deals, identify business value, and set expectations that ensure long-term customer success.
- Execute in Team-Selling Environments: Balance multiple projects simultaneously, participating in all necessary technical training and certifications to maintain peak effectiveness.
