- Conduct rigorous testing and validation, including unit testing, integration testing, and system‑level validation.
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, including mechanical engineers, application developers, and quality assurance specialists.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Stay current with emerging embedded technologies, automotive standards (e.g., AUTOSAR, ISO 26262), and best practices.
- Drive innovation by researching and proposing new technologies and methodologies to enhance product capabilities.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables effectively within a remote setting.
- Document designs, code, and test procedures thoroughly.
Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in embedded systems design and development, with at least 3 years in a lead or senior technical role within the automotive industry.
- Expertise in C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
- Deep understanding of microcontrollers, DSPs, and related hardware architectures.
- Proficiency with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of RTOS concepts and implementation.
- Experience with embedded Linux and/or AUTOSAR is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with functional safety standards (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity principles in automotive.
- Excellent problem‑solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, essential for a remote‑first environment.
- Experience with simulation and modeling tools.
