Lead Embedded Systems Engineer - IoT

Our client, a pioneer in smart device technology, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Embedded Systems Engineer to spearhead their Internet of Things (IoT) product development initiatives. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere. You will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and implementing embedded systems for a new generation of connected devices. This role demands a strong understanding of microcontroller architectures, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and low-power design principles.

Responsibilities include leading the architecture design of embedded systems, writing efficient firmware in C/C++, and integrating various hardware components such as sensors, communication modules (e.g., Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LoRa), and actuators. You will develop and maintain robust software for microcontroller-based products, ensuring adherence to strict performance, reliability, and security standards. Debugging complex hardware-software issues using tools like JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers will be a daily task.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of embedded system design principles, power management techniques, and embedded communication protocols. Experience with IoT platforms and cloud connectivity is highly advantageous. You should be adept at working with various microcontroller families (e.g., ARM Cortex-M, ESP32) and RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS, Zephyr).
