Qualifications
- Proficiency in Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering processes
- Strong analytical skills and experience in process improvement
- Effective communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration
- Proficiency in AI and machine learning implementation in industrial contexts (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and foster innovation
- Experience in energy systems or related fields is a plus

Role Description
🏭 Lead Engineer — Decision Intelligence
Assidious · Bhubaneswar, Odisha · Hybrid · Full‑time
We are building Pluribus — a Decision Intelligence platform for integrated steel plants.
Not another dashboard. Not another sensor analytics tool.
Pluribus captures what plant operators decide — the blast volume adjustment at 3 am, the reblow call on a borderline heat, the burden change when ore chemistry shifts — evaluates those decisions against real outcomes, and builds a compounding decision memory that makes every future shift smarter.
India's steel plants have 10,000 sensors. They have zero decision sensors. We are fixing that.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a Lead Engineer to own the technical build of the Pluribus decision engine — working directly with the Founder & CTO.
You will lead:
- The decision inference engine — detecting operator decisions from SCADA, MES, and historian data without any manual input
- The matching and advisory layer — finding similar historical decisions from the plant's growing decision library
- The outcome evaluation loop — scoring decisions when results arrive, running counterfactual analysis
- The broadcast engine — automatically routing process change alerts to the right teams, eliminating manual coordination calls between shifts
- The data pipeline — ingesting, processing, and structuring industrial time‑series and event data
This is not a maintenance role. You will be the technical lead on something that does not exist anywhere else.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- ★ Strong Python — not just scripting, real software engineering
- ★ Comfort with time‑series data, event logs, JSON, structured industrial datasets
- ★ Ability to own and deliver end‑to‑end — architecture, build, and ship
- ★ 3–6 years of engineering experience
- ★ Curiosity about how industrial operations actually work — domain knowledge is teachable, curiosity is not
- ★ Based in or willing to work from Bhubaneswar — we are 90 minutes from Angul, one of India's largest integrated steel plants, and proximity matters
Essential: exposure to industrial systems (OT, SCADA, MES, historian data), ML basics, Azure, React.
