• Define engineering requirements for bearing components and assemblies
• Develop technology solutions to meet customer needs following SKF design rules and processes
• Identify and execute strategic engineering projects for performance improvements and cost reduction
• Support business case evaluations through techno-commercial analysis
• Lead design reviews using DFMEA and risk assessments, with simulations and DVVP
• Drive engineering tasks across sales, factories, and technical development projects
• Coordinate engineering change assessments and implementation
• Benchmark competitor products and collaborate with Global Product Development centers

Aufgaben

• Bachelor or master's in mechanical or equivalent engineering
• 6–12 years in product design & development, and application engineering
• Experience with machine design, components design, testing and validation
• Exposure to New Product Development process; DFSS/DFM/DFA a plus
• Understanding of steel manufacturing, machining, and finishing
• Project management experience and gated development processes
• Analytical skills and experience with VA/VE projects
• Proficiency with CAD/PLM tools such as PTC Creo and Windchill; capable of interpreting simulation results
• Strong communication with internal/external stakeholders; agile and eager to learn
• Technical knowledge in bearings and NV applications; digital tools and design automation a plus
