About the role
Position Overview
Lead and implement larger scale projects to modernize Transamerica’s finance function by establishing integrated, standardized, and automated end-to-end processes that enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in financial data and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Use a comprehensive blend of finance, project management, and systems expertise to lead large finance transformation projects, formulate plans, oversee timelines, and ensure project execution aligns with objectives.
- Provide direction to consultants and team members on best practices in finance and technology integration, delegating resources and working cross functionally to deliver integrated, cost-effective solutions.
- Supervise the integration and optimization of financial systems in alignment with organizational goals, ensuring projects meet operational efficiency and effectiveness targets.
- Cultivate team capabilities and mentor analysts as needed.
- Spearhead innovation in financial processes and systems while providing critical analysis and support for strategic decision making.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Broad experience in project management, integration of finance systems, and strategic consultation between finance and technology (typically eight to ten years).
- Strategic thinker with excellent consulting skills to offer direction on best practices in finance transformation.
- Proficient in overseeing large-scale projects and steering outcomes.
- Advanced finance systems knowledge to oversee integrations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with key tools including Data Intelligence & Governance Platforms, Data Integration & Workflow Automation, Database & Query Management, Cloud & Big Data Services, Development & Coding Environments, and Productivity & Reporting Tools.
- Experience with AI tools and automation frameworks to leverage data analysis, streamline workflows, and improve decision-making.
