Our client is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Lead Financial Analyst to join their dynamic team in Kano, Kano, NG . This pivotal role will involve comprehensive financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support strategic decision-making across the organization. The Lead Financial Analyst will be responsible for developing financial models, forecasting future financial performance, and identifying key trends and variances. You will work closely with various departments to gather financial data, analyze business performance, and provide actionable insights. This position requires a strong understanding of financial principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely to both financial and non-financial stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a key role in budgeting, performance management, and financial strategy development. Responsibilities include:

Leading the financial planning and analysis process, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning. Developing and maintaining complex financial models to support business initiatives and strategic decisions. Analyzing financial performance against budget and forecasts, identifying key drivers of variance, and providing insights and recommendations. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management. Collaborating with business unit leaders to understand their financial needs and provide analytical support. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and driving efficiency in financial reporting and analysis. Conducting ad-hoc financial analysis to support special projects and strategic opportunities. Assisting in the preparation of investor relations materials and presentations. Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data. Mentoring junior analysts and contributing to the development of the finance team. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, ACCA) is a plus. Proven experience (5+ years) in financial analysis, corporate finance, or investment banking. Strong knowledge of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and accounting principles. Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is highly desirable. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to diverse audiences. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated leadership potential and experience managing projects or teams.
