We are looking for a Lead Flight Software Engineer to join a cutting‑edge and highly innovative technology environment, focused on the development of next‑generation, mission‑critical software for complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Define clear, verifiable software requirements, fully aligned with system‑level requirements
• Lead and coordinate a highly specialized internal technical team
• Act as the company’s focal point for all Flight Software activities
• Actively contribute to software development and design activities
• Define and manage subcontractor activities, including preparing Statements of Work and contract oversight
• Track suppliers’ progress through regular and structured progress reviews
• Participate in technical reviews, acceptance milestones, and progress meetings
• Assess software quality in compliance with applicable standards
• Collaborate with the Ground Segment to define mission operational requirements
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within software development processes

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• +5 years of hands-on lead flight software development activities
• Strong hands‑on experience in highly critical embedded software development, such as space, aerospace, automotive, medical, or other safety‑critical systems
• System‑level approach to defining and structuring software functionalities
• Deep understanding of complex system architectures and software design
• Proven track record in delivering high‑quality software in compliance with industrial standards
• Excellent knowledge of UML for system and software modeling
• Advanced proficiency in C and C++
• Experience in real‑time and multi‑tasking software development, with concurrent resource management
• Solid knowledge of major RTOS platforms (RTEMS, FreeRTOS, VxWorks, QNX, etc.)
• Familiarity with ECSS and CCSDS standards
• Experience working with structured software development lifecycles, such as the V‑cycle
• Knowledge of software quality standards (e.g. MISRA, JSF)
• Previous experience leading and managing technical teams
• Fluency in English, other languages are a plus
