Lead Front End Developer

Company Overview: GovCIO is on the lookout for a talented and experienced Lead Front End Developer to enhance our Digital Services development portfolio. This position offers the flexibility of fully remote work, with minimal travel for quarterly planning events.

Your Role: In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality web applications, ensuring they are dynamic, responsive, and user-friendly—specifically tailored for Veterans. • Key Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain web applications using React, Redux, and JavaScript/TypeScript aligned with a Ruby on Rails / Drupal stack. • Utilize a strong software engineering foundation to guide your decisions and approaches. • Engage with stakeholders effectively to gather requirements and feedback. • Employ monitoring tools such as Grafana and Datadog for performance tracking. • Exhibit expertise in Agile and Scrum methodologies throughout the development lifecycle. • Create and deliver technical documentation relevant to your role.

Qualifications: • Required Skills: • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with at least 8 years in a related field. • Proven experience with React, Redux, and JavaScript/TypeScript within a Ruby on Rails / Drupal framework. • Preferred Skills: • Experience supporting and enhancing VA.gov applications while adhering to Digital Services Platform guidelines. • Adeptness in fast-paced environments, collaborating with diverse teams and customers. • Strong background in digitizing Government forms and improving user experience. • A sincere passion for creating compliant interfaces that meaningfully empower Veterans in their interactions with VA.gov. • Team-oriented, confident in your skills, and willing to mentor others.

Clearance: Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.

Salary: The salary range for this role is between USD $125,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 per year.
