About the Role
We're looking for a Lead Front-End Engineer who thrives in fast-moving startup environments and can take full ownership of features from design to deployment. You'll work closely with product to build performant, accessible experiences on our React/TypeScript stack — and you actively use AI tools (Copilot, Claude, Cursor) to ship faster and with higher quality.
We intentionally remain a small, fast, demanding team of senior engineers, with a high bar for execution and quality.
What you'll do:
- Own and deliver front-end features end to end, from technical design through implementation, testing, and production monitoring, with minimal oversight.
- Architect scalable, maintainable front-end systems using React and TypeScript, making pragmatic trade-offs between speed and long-term code health.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools daily to accelerate code generation, reviews, debugging, and testing, and drive their adoption across the team.
- Collaborate tightly with Product, and Backend engineers to shape features from the earliest stages.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and architectural guidance.
- Manage and coordinate with off-shore engineers to parallelize work and ship faster.
Requirements
What you bring:
Must Have: 6+ years building production web apps and deep knowledge of modern React patterns. Experience in a startup or scale-up environment with a strong ownership mindset.
Nice to Have: Exposure to backend technologies (Node.js, REST/GraphQL, Python). Interest in building AI-powered tools or integrating LLMs into product features. Daily use of AI coding assistants as a core part of your workflow.
