Our client is looking for a seasoned Lead Full-Stack Software Engineer to spearhead the development of innovative cloud-native applications in George, Western Cape, ZA. This pivotal role demands a strong leader with exceptional technical acumen and a passion for building scalable, high-performance software solutions.

You will be responsible for guiding a team of talented engineers, architecting robust systems, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing microservices architectures
• Developing APIs
• Managing cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Fostering best practices in coding, testing, and deployment

You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in both front-end and back-end development
• Proficiency in languages like Java, Python, or Go
• Deep understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Solid grasp of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication abilities
• Proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• At least 7 years of professional software development experience
• Leadership experience is highly desirable
