Lead Functional Architect - Airline IT Offer
Amadeus
About the role
Overview
Job Title: Lead Functional Architect - Airline IT Offer
The airline industry is evolving, and airlines are taking control of their products through Offer Management Systems. At Amadeus, the Offer Business Domain leads this transformation with a market‑defining solution covering the full Offer value chain, including pricing, merchandising, ancillary services, revenue management, and NDC.
As a Lead Functional Architect, you will act as the Customer Success Engineer for the Offer & NDC stream of the Solution Centre dedicated to a major full‑service carrier. You will be at the heart of a strategic partnership, building deep customer intimacy, driving innovation across Offer and NDC capabilities, and influencing how a global airline delivers next‑generation offers and retailing experiences. You will emphasize cross‑functional coordination and stakeholder alignment, working with engineering, product, commercial, and customer teams to orchestrate complex initiatives across multiple domains.
You will become the trusted partner guiding the airline through its transformation journey—blending customer understanding, technical fluency, and product vision. You’ll orchestrate priorities, coordinate with Delivery Trains and domain experts, manage budgets and risks, and ensure that every evolution delivers tangible value. This role puts you in a high‑visibility, high‑impact position at the intersection of technology, customer success, and leadership.
You will be the key link between airline customers and Amadeus delivery teams, translating airline strategies into actionable plans, aligning stakeholders across commercial, product, and R&D teams, and ensuring successful implementation of Offer & NDC solutions. Your focus is on driving customer value, fostering collaboration, and helping airlines achieve their strategic goals.

Ensure optimal usage of the airline’s Amadeus contract to maximize total business value by leveraging entitlements, aligning with commercial frameworks, and optimizing the mix of product adoption and services.
Identify, qualify, and drive upsell opportunities with the account team and support proposals through to closure.
Execution Leadership: Act as the orchestrator ensuring alignment between all contributing Amadeus teams (Development, Product Analysts, QA, Architects) across multiple SAFe Trains of Offer & NDC.
Secure smooth handover from solutioning into delivery teams.
Build and track delivery plans, capacity requirements, budgets, and timelines.
Maintain alignment with business objectives across the full lifecycle by coordinating with the airline in agile mode—from planning to deployment in Production and business adoption.
Track progress toward objectives, escalate risks, and drive mitigation plans.
Governance & Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and operate a robust governance model aligned with the Solution Centre framework, ensuring transparent communication and joint decision‑making across all phases of the engagement.
Lead structured engagement with internal and external stakeholders, including senior airline decision‑makers, Amadeus management, Delivery Trains, Product Management, Solution Centre governance, and Account Team.
