Lead Hardware Engineer – Actemium (Life‑Science Projects)
Location: Belgium (flexible / hybrid work possible)

Your role
As Lead Hardware Engineer you will turn customer requirements into functional designs for life‑science projects in the dairy, pharmaceutical and brewing sectors. You will:
- Lead a multidisciplinary team from concept through to execution.
- Perform calculations, work‑preparation and detailed engineering.
- Supervise and support FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test) activities.
- Work hand‑in‑hand with customers and internal colleagues to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Motivate and coach your team in a natural, results‑driven way.
What you bring
| Requirement | Details |
|---|---|
| Education | HBO (higher professional) degree in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Automation. |
| Experience | Several years in industrial automation in a comparable role (hardware design, integration, testing). |
| Languages | Fluent Dutch and English (spoken & written). |
| Technical knowledge | • General instrumentation, switchgear & distribution systems. • PLC‑based control for industrial automation. • Familiarity with European standards & directives, GAMP, and machine/process safety. • Knowledge of safety‑systems (a plus). |
| Software | Experience with E‑Plan / AutoCAD (preferred). |
| Calculations | Proven ability to apply engineering calculation methods. |
| Commercial mindset | Comfortable attending sales meetings and providing expert advice within your domain. |
| Personal traits | Independent, precise, strong team player, natural motivator. |
