Overview
Join SAIC as a Lead Technical Writer, where you will play a key role in supporting Intelligence customers by translating complex technical documents for a diverse audience, including government personnel, legal counsel, and congressional support teams. Your expertise in Systems or Data Engineering will be critical for effectively interpreting requirements, policies, and technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain high-quality technical documentation that meets organizational standards.
- Review and refine documents for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
- Implement best practices in technical writing and grammar across all content.
- Manage stakeholder interactions while collaborating with various programs and teams.
- Collect input from subject matter experts to enhance documentation quality.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to align documentation with project requirements.
- Regularly update existing materials to ensure relevance and accuracy.
- Establish version control and archive outdated documents efficiently.
- Maintain a well-organized documentation library for easy access.
- Stay updated with industry best practices in technical writing.
- Ensure uniform formatting and style guidelines are applied across all documentation.
Expected Deliverables:
You will produce a wide range of essential documents, including user manuals, troubleshooting guides, technical specifications, process documentation, training guides, quick reference materials, video tutorial scripts, online help content, change management documentation, white papers, and more.
Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI with Poly required.
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 6 years of related experience.
- 3-5 years' experience within an Intelligence Community Agency.
- Proven technical writing and editing skills.
- Strong background in Systems Engineering, Data Engineering, or related fields.
- Ability to simplify complex technical information for broader audiences.
- Experience with documentation tools and version control systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Salary
The target salary for this role ranges from $120,001 to $160,000, reflecting the typical compensation based on experience and qualifications.
