Lead IT Solutions Architect

About the Role

Join Leidos's Digital Modernization Sector's Office of Technology as a Lead IT Solutions Architect! We are looking for a talented individual with over 15 years of diverse Information Technology experience. The right candidate will have served as a technical lead architect for multiple high-value proposals, including at least two competitive bids exceeding $0.5 billion. Familiarity with End User Services, Network Services, Data Center and Cloud Infrastructure, Application Migration, Cyber Security, and overall IT Service Management is essential, with expertise in at least one area. This remote position allows flexibility with the option to work from our Reston Corporate office as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

• Act as the senior technical architect throughout the business pursuit lifecycle, collaborating with an integrated growth team on proposal, capture, R&D, and business development initiatives.
• Provide strategic thought leadership on technical solutions encompassing elements such as technical approach, partnerships, staffing, implementation timelines, and Basis of Estimate (BOE).
• Lead solution development in key areas like Cloud Infrastructure and Application Migration, Managed Services, Cyber Security, and Application Development.
• Support the creation of notional, logical, and physical solution diagrams and ensure seamless integration into the customer's environment while meeting all technical and management criteria.
• Demonstrate hands-on skills in writing and diagramming to produce technical documentation, white papers, statements of work, and proposal artifacts.
• Engage with customers to thoroughly understand their requirements, providing effective solution presentations.
• Steer responses to customer Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP).
• Collaborate with teaming partners to create technical solutions, explore integration of partners' capabilities, and devise pricing strategies.
• Work closely with engineering teams to gather information systematically, crafting winning technical solutions for proposals.

Basic Qualifications

• Master's degree with at least 17 years of relevant experience; additional experience may be substituted for the degree.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience leading technical teams.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, particularly in conveying significant organizational matters to executive leadership.
• Proven experience in IT systems engineering.
• Experience managing complex IT proposals and initiating projects post-award.
• Expertise in organizing and executing projects, demonstrating comprehensive project management capabilities.
• Familiarity with IT Operations, including multi-tier service desks and management of SLAs and OLAs.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent leadership experience in both commercial and federal IT engineering.
• Ability to estimate technical and operational costs, along with planning for new IT project delivery.
• Proficiency in identifying and evaluating business impacts related to changes in technical solutions or enterprise operations.
• ITIL foundations certification.
