Performance Specialist

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Performance Specialist to support the Customer Securities Finance Trading & Collateral technology platform. This role focuses heavily on Core Java development and performance optimization within enterprise financial systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize and rearchitect performance-critical applications
• Identify bottlenecks and improve scalability
• Drive performance tuning initiatives
• Implement architectural enhancements
• Develop enterprise-grade financial platforms
• Collaborate with architects and global scrum teams
• Work on cloud-native and API-driven solutions

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on Core Java (Java SE/JEE) experience
• Strong coding and performance optimization expertise
• SQL experience (Oracle / SQL Server / PostgreSQL)
• Spring Framework
• JMS & Middleware
• JPA/Hibernate
• REST APIs
• TypeScript
• Angular (v2+)
• Software Design Patterns
• Enterprise Architecture Concepts
• OAuth / OpenID Connect / SSO
• Kubernetes / OpenShift
• Agile & TDD methodologies
• Strong communication skills

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Apache Camel
• CI/CD & DevOps concepts
• Experience in enterprise financial platforms
• Distributed global team experience

Locations

• Zurich, Switzerland (Hybrid – minimum 2 days/week onsite)
• UK / Europe (Hybrid from respective FIS office locations)

Travel Requirement

Candidates must be able to travel to Switzerland without visa restrictions. Initial travel includes:

• 2 weeks during the first 2 months
• 1 week during the 3rd month
• (All travel expenses covered by the company)
