The documenta and Museum Fridericianum gGmbH is seeking a Lead Marketing (m/f/d) for documenta 16 in Kassel. This is a full-time position, limited until December 31, 2027.
The documenta and Museum Fridericianum gGmbH is a non-profit company owned by the City of Kassel and the State of Hesse. The non-profit company is responsible for the documenta exhibition, which takes place every five years, the Fridericianum, the documenta archive, and the documenta Halle.
We are looking for a well-structured and sales-oriented personality to become part of the documenta team.
For the Kassel location, we are looking for:
Lead Marketing (m/f/d)
Your Responsibilities:
- Development and implementation of the holistic marketing strategy in close coordination with the Head of Communications and the Management Board
- Management of the marketing budget, including controlling
- Conception, coordination, and evaluation of all analog and digital marketing activities
- Leadership and management of external service providers as well as cooperation with internal interfaces
- Editing, production, and distribution of all marketing materials (print, digital, social media, moving image, merchandise, etc.)
- Expansion and maintenance of marketing and media cooperations, as well as support for ticketing and sales partners
- Ensuring corporate design across all channels
- Consideration of sustainability, accessibility, and inclusion in all marketing measures
Your Profile:
- Completed university degree or equivalent qualification in marketing, communication, or cultural management
- Several years of professional experience in marketing, preferably in the cultural sector or in international contexts
- Demonstrable competence in the development and implementation of digital and analog marketing strategies
- Experience with digital campaign formats, analysis, and reporting tools
- Strong conceptual and organizational skills
- Leadership skills, teamwork ability, intercultural awareness, and a high degree of personal responsibility
- Sensitivity and willingness to design sustainable, inclusive, and accessible communication formats
- Enjoyment of process-oriented, collaborative work as part of a large, international team
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken

Your weekly working hours comprise 40 hours. The place of work is Kassel.
