Lead Mechanical Design Engineer

This senior position requires a proven ability to lead design projects from conception through to production, ensuring all mechanical systems meet stringent performance, safety, and quality standards. The Lead Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing complex mechanical components and systems using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA). You will conduct thorough analysis, including stress, thermal, and vibration analysis, to validate designs and optimize performance. This role involves overseeing the entire design lifecycle, from initial design reviews and prototyping to testing, validation, and manufacturing support. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing specialists, to ensure integrated and efficient product development. The Lead will mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical expertise and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Developing and maintaining design documentation, including detailed drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications, is a critical part of the role. You will also be involved in supplier selection and technical evaluation of components. A deep understanding of manufacturing processes, material science, and industry best practices is essential. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional problem-solving skills, a strong analytical mindset, and a passion for engineering excellence. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, coupled with significant professional experience, is required.
