About the Role:
The GN&T Network Security team is seeking a talented Engineer IV to join our Network Access team, focusing on the delivery and operations of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) services. As a crucial part of the FIDO/MFA team, you will help operationalize a comprehensive strategy for deploying MFA solutions globally. This role encompasses the entire lifecycle of MFA, from architecture development to operational support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior engineers to interpret business and functional requirements, assisting in the technical implementation.
- Document processes and contribute to knowledge sharing as a subject matter expert within the team.
- Facilitate team coordination by understanding roles and responsibilities across support and engineering functions.
- Participate in the implementation and testing of redundant networks under senior engineers' guidance.
- Install and configure Identity services components integral to MFA services.
- Develop automation tools essential for MFA services.
- Implement identity lifecycle automated provisioning workflows for secure access.
- Deploy services on cloud infrastructure using cloud-based tools.
- Utilize configuration management tools like Ansible to deliver and support MFA services.
- Enforce zero-trust principles ensure compliance with security standards.
- Provide first-line operational support, monitor alerts, and assist in 24/7 support efforts.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or four or more years of relevant work experience.
- Four or more years of experience in relevant fields, including military expertise.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) protocols like LDAP, SAML, FIDO, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell to create automation tools.
- Experience with LDAP directory server implementations.
- Fondness for cloud-based services and a solid understanding of containerization.
- Adeptness in application delivery, support, incident management, and log management.
- Familiarity with IAM solutions and knowledge of Splunk for data models and threat hunting.
- Experience in developing and maintaining automation playbooks using Python/API integrations.
- Strong knowledge of incident response lifecycles and ability to build relationships across business units.
Preferred:
- Expertise in networking and cybersecurity.
- Familiarity with Jumphost servers and their operational functions.
- Experience with tools like Hashicorp Vault for credential management.
- Knowledge in utilizing Splunk SOAR for automating security responses.
- Hands-on experience managing identities in containers and cloud-native services.
- Optimization of directory services to handle high-frequency authentication requests.
- Deep understanding of security concepts across applications and networks.
- Experience managing complex processes and adapting to dynamic environments.
- Proven success in leading cybersecurity engineering initiatives.
- Ability to communicate across all organizational levels effectively.
- Experience with large data sets, including Netflow, BGP, DNS, and IDS logs.
- Understanding of network-based, system-level, and application layer attacks and mitigation strategies.

Work Location:
This is a hybrid role requiring a defined location, including work from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office.
