Lead Platform Engineer with Python Programming & AWS Cloud

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer for our Platform Engineering team responsible for designing and building tools and workflows for internal software engineering teams. These systems enable effortless application building and deployment, supporting enterprise-wide initiatives to streamline operations, improve reliability, and accelerate delivery. The role involves solving complex technical problems and collaborating to create impactful internal platforms that empower engineering teams.

Keys to the Position

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• Proficient in Python with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Requests, BeautifulSoup, FastAPI, and SQLAlchemy
• Skilled in packaging, testing, and deploying Python applications using pytest, setuptools, Docker, and Git
• Experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud-native applications using AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudFormation)
• Proficient in DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (Terraform, Jenkins), and container orchestration (ECS, EKS)
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and performance optimization tools like CloudWatch and X-Ray
• Comfortable with test-driven development, continuous integration, and agile methodologies using tools like GIT, Artifactory, and Jenkins
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, engineering, math, or related field, or equivalent experience

Location and Work Arrangement

This role is based 4 days per week onsite in either Boston, Needham, NYC, Radnor PA, or Chicago IL, with occasional travel between offices as needed.
