Lead Power Platform Engineer

GovCIO is seeking a highly experienced Lead Power Platform Engineer who possesses strong expertise in PowerApps, Dynamics 365, SharePoint Online, and other Microsoft 365 products. This is a fully remote position and candidates can be based anywhere in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as an ambassador for our established citizen developer community, driving innovation and encouraging growth across the agency.
• Stay current with new Low Code / No Code platforms initiated within the EPA and adapt swiftly.
• Assist community members with inquiries and troubleshooting related to Power Automate Flows, Power Apps, Dataverse, Power BI, and other Microsoft 365 services.
• Analyze the growth and usage trends of Power Platform environments and proactively provide governance and scalability recommendations.
• Deliver high-level technical support for complex PowerApps or Dynamics issues, incidents, and escalations.
• Remain up-to-date with updates in the Microsoft Power Platform and M365, educating users about new features and best practices.
• Support and maintain Power BI environments, including gateway configurations, workspace organization, and access control.
• Collaborate with IT Security, Infrastructure, and Business teams to ensure solutions adhere to organizational and compliance standards (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST).

Qualifications

Candidates should possess a High School diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills and Experience

• Excellent teamwork, client communication, and customer service skills.
• 10+ years of software development experience in a collaborative, Agile development environment.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
• A demonstrated willingness and ability to learn new Low Code / No Code platforms and Agile processes.
• 10+ years of experience in Microsoft 365, covering:
  • Power Platform administration, governance, and solution design
  • Power Apps (canvas & model-driven apps), Power Automate, Power BI
  • Customizing Dynamics 365 CRM modules with Power Platform components for automation and UI/UX enhancements.
  • Expertise in integrating Power Apps with external data sources (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, Azure Services, REST APIs).
  • Experience in designing role-based security models via Dataverse and other connected systems.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing custom connectors, managing HTTP actions in Power Automate, and handling error management.
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint Online architecture, lists, document libraries, and their integration with Power Platform.
  • Experience working with Azure Active Directory, including access control management.
  • Familiarity with environment strategies, ALM (Application Lifecycle Management), and the use of solutions within Power Platform.
  • Management experience with the Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) Starter Kit is a plus.
  • Basic scripting knowledge using PowerShell for M365 and Power Platform administration.
  • Experience with DevOps tools (GitHub or Azure DevOps) for source control and CI/CD pipelines in Power Platform.
  • Working knowledge of JSON, OData, and REST APIs to extend and integrate solutions.
  • Strong documentation skills for creating solution design documents, technical architecture diagrams, and end-user guides.
  • Understanding of data loss prevention (DLP) policies and compliance in a tenant environment.

Clearance Required

Eligible candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Suitability.

Salary Range

USD $140,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
