Join ENERCON's Data Center Mission Critical Group as a Lead Principal Engineering Project Manager, where you will take charge of exciting engineering projects and work closely with technical teams to craft comprehensive proposals. You'll oversee all project execution aspects, including schedules, risk management, and financial health, while ensuring client satisfaction through exceptional service and teamwork. This position offers flexibility with remote options available across the U.S., and you may also have the opportunity to work at our office locations.

Responsibilities

• Client & Team Relations: Provide outstanding service to clients and collaborators, fostering strong, professional relationships.
• Project Leadership: Spearhead projects by working with technical teams to develop in-depth engineering proposals, manage timelines, and implement recovery plans as necessary.
• Project Planning & Execution: Formulate detailed work plans, risk management strategies, and communication frameworks to guarantee efficient project execution.
• Scheduling & Financial Management: Supervise project schedules, leverage advanced scheduling tools, and maintain the financial health of projects with timely reporting and performance tracking.
• Team & Resource Management: Direct a team of engineers, designers, and subcontractors, ensuring quality deliverables while upholding internal standards.
• Client & Business Development: Cultivate successful client relationships, oversee project scopes, and assist in marketing initiatives, including proposal development and identifying new opportunities.
• Contract & Project Oversight: Plan and manage client contracts to ensure effective project execution, which may include travel to client facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering OR PMP Certification with at least 10 years of experience in engineering consulting, project management, or within a data center environment.
• A minimum of 6 years in a project management or engineering role at an engineering consulting firm or data center.
• PMP certification is preferred.
• Experience working with hyperscale data centers as a consultant or similar role.
• Proficient in cost/work hour estimating and proposal development and review.
• Ability to manage scope, schedule, and budget across multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge in earned value management and progress tracking.
• Experienced in developing and reviewing contract and non-disclosure agreement language.
• Solid understanding of budget and accounting processes.
• Exceptional coordination and team‑building capabilities.
• Strong organizational, time management, strategic planning, writing, communication, decision‑making, and presentation skills.
• Effective in reading and writing technical documents clearly.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and disciplines.
• Competent in MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Willing to travel 10%‑15% of the time, which may include fieldwork based on project and client requirements.

Compensation

• USD $140,000.00 – USD $185,000.00 per year
