Position: Lead Product Manager – Model N
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Model N Product Manager to join our dynamic IT squad. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our Model N Revenue Management solutions, ensuring alignment with our business objectives. This position requires a deep understanding of Model N software, pharmaceutical revenue management, and the ability to drive strategic initiatives that enhance our product offerings.
Primary location: Whippany, NJ. Candidates must be easily commutable and/or willing to relocate to the Whippany, NJ area as a regular presence at the site will be expected. Relocation assistance may be offered for this role.
Responsibilities
- Set strategic vision for our Model N instance to ensure the users and their needs are at the center.
- Ensure team priorities are supporting business outcomes for users, product, technical and enabling teams. This requires continual alignment of the Model N strategy and objectives with users, product, technical, and enabling teams.
- Manage the Model N product backlog, which prioritizes the work of the assigned squads, to achieve the vision and aligned strategy.
- Manage stakeholder expectations by effective collaboration with product specialist, technical teams, Model N, and IT Digital leads on executing and aligning roadmaps, delivery dates and integration efforts.
- Engage in continuous optimization of solutions, introducing best practices as well as initiating discussions around new technologies to enhance product roadmap to deliver better business outcomes.
- Hold third‑party vendors accountable for service delivery and issue resolution.
- Create comprehensive product roadmaps, to clarify user needs and non‑functional requirements.
- Act as a strategic liaison between users, business stakeholders, and development teams, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the product lifecycle.
- Coach and uplift knowledge of team members.
- Ensure deep knowledge on basic and advanced revenue management processes.
- Perform yearly upgrades to include requirements, training, and documentation.
- Coordinate global end‑user testing scenarios and acceptance criteria ensuring alignment with defined acceptance criteria and business objectives.
- Work within complex organizations and have knowledge and insights into relevant and complex markets of our customers.
- Solve complex data issues with attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar.
- 10 or more years of experience as a product manager.
- 10 or more years of Model N experience.
- Ability to identify critical issues, prioritize and assess trade‑offs.
- Good interpersonal skills and abilities to build and foster internal and external networks by instilling trust, collaborating with others, and driving innovative topics.
- Ability to establish and manage initiatives against a set of key metrics and goals.
- Strong analytical, management and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities: must effectively communicate with technical and non‑technical people.
- Familiarity with the relevant industry trends.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP Certification.
- Model N Upgrade experience.
- Experience in integrations with SAP.
- Experience in building product vision, product roadmap, and product strategy.
- Proven experience in designing, developing, delivering or leading digital solutions in a complex environment.
- Strategic planning and decision‑making skills with ability to evolve solution strategies based on research and data.
- Ability to measure and effectively communicate the business value of proposals and deliverables.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $147,040.00 – $220,560.00.
- Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
- Benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.
- Offer may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
