RealREPP, a full-service recruiting firm, is partnering with a growing, nationally recognized construction organization to hire a Project Accountant Lead in undefined, undefined. The Project Accountant Lead oversees construction job costing and billing for a large, complex project and multiple smaller projects. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, vendor compliance, and effective risk management throughout the project lifecycle while supervising and mentoring a team of Project Accountants.

Position Responsibilities

  • Oversee accurate and timely processing of project financial transactions, job costs, and billings
  • Ensure integrity of accounting systems, internal controls, and financial reporting
  • Monitor project financials and prepare standard and ad hoc reports
  • Maintain compliance with accounting standards and construction industry best practices
  • Partner with the Accounting Senior Manager and Project Managers on financial strategy and project performance
  • Lead implementation of new accounting policies, procedures, and process improvements
  • Analyze and resolve complex accounting issues
  • Supervise, train, and mentor Project Accountants; provide performance feedback

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, or related field
  • Construction industry experience preferred
  • Experience with Lump Sum and Cost Plus/GMP projects
  • Strong knowledge of project setup, cost codes, billings, and cost reconciliations
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines, work independently, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
