Our client is looking for a seasoned Lead Project Manager specializing in IT Infrastructure to spearhead complex technology initiatives in Onitsha, Anambra, NG. As the Lead Project Manager, you will be responsible for defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. You will develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and risk assessment. Your role will involve leading and motivating cross-functional project teams, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring effective communication channels are maintained. You will manage project budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost-control measures. Proactive identification and mitigation of project risks and issues will be a key part of your responsibilities. Regular reporting on project status, progress, and key performance indicators to executive leadership is essential. Key Responsibilities
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and budgets.
- Lead and mentor project teams, assigning tasks and ensuring accountability.
- Oversee the execution of IT infrastructure projects, including network upgrades, server deployments, cloud migrations, and cybersecurity implementations.
- Manage project risks, issues, and changes, developing and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Ensure effective communication among project team members, stakeholders, and vendors.
- Track project progress, prepare regular status reports, and present findings to senior leadership.
- Manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure financial objectives are met.
- Conduct post-project evaluations and identify lessons learned for future projects.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years focused on IT infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, large-scale IT projects.
- In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of various IT infrastructure domains: networking, servers, storage, cloud computing (AWS, Azure), and cybersecurity.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders.
