About the Role

Our client, a prominent and forward-thinking real estate investment firm, is seeking an exceptional Lead Property Investment Analyst to join their fully remote team. This is a critical role responsible for identifying, evaluating, and recommending lucrative property investment opportunities across various market segments. You will be at the forefront of market analysis, financial modeling, and due diligence, providing the insights necessary to drive profitable portfolio growth. This position offers the unique advantage of working from anywhere within Nigeria, with a focus on delivering high-caliber analysis and strategic recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities in the real estate sector, both locally and internationally.
  • Develop detailed financial models to assess the viability and potential returns of potential property acquisitions, including DCF, IRR, and ROI calculations.
  • Perform comprehensive due diligence on potential investments, including physical property assessments (via remote tools/agents), title searches, zoning analysis, and environmental reviews.
  • Prepare detailed investment memorandums and presentations for the investment committee, clearly outlining findings, recommendations, and risk assessments.
  • Analyze lease agreements, tenant profiles, and operational expenses to forecast property income and expenses accurately.
  • Monitor the performance of the existing investment portfolio, providing regular performance reports and identifying opportunities for value enhancement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, developers, appraisers, and other industry contacts to source deals and gather market intelligence.
  • Stay informed about relevant real estate laws, regulations, and market dynamics.
  • Mentor and guide junior analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Utilize various data sources and analytical tools to support investment decisions.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in real estate investment analysis, corporate finance, or investment banking, with a significant focus on real estate.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and real estate market analysis.
  • Proficiency in real estate investment software and tools, as well as advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong understanding of real estate market dynamics, property types, and investment strategies.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines in a remote setting.
  • Experience with a diverse range of property types (e.g., residential, commercial, industrial) is a plus.
  • Must be based in Aba, Abia, NG or have a strong connection and ability to work effectively remotely from this region.
