Missions

As part of the development of its launcher, Sirius Space Services is seeking an Engineer to oversee system activities related to the preparation, monitoring, and analysis of development and qualification tests for our engines. These engines use liquid propulsion (cryogenic propellants, methane, and liquid oxygen).

Within the Propulsion Team, your missions and responsibilities will include:

  • Managing engine configuration
  • Leading architectural improvements
  • Participating in the functional optimization of STAR engines
  • Ensuring expected engine performance levels
  • Contributing to functional analyses of the engine’s various operating phases
  • Validating compatibility and consistency of specifications between subsystems
  • Supporting engine risk analyses (FMEA, AMDEC)
  • Managing the breakdown of engine‑level specifications to subsystems
  • Drafting technical documentation related to development
  • Communicating results and drafting associated technical documentation

Technical Scope of Analyses for the Department

  • Architecture/design
  • Layout of engine sub‑assemblies
  • Fluid, thermal, thermo‑mechanical, vibration justification (high/low frequency), fatigue, damage tolerance analysis

Profile

Graduate of an engineering school or holding a master’s degree with a specialization in aeronautics/aerospace:

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in multiple engine components and/or experience as an engine architect
  • Proficiency in complex fluid system simulation software
  • Knowledge of space launcher environments is a plus
  • Ability to work both in a team and independently
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
