Our client, a leading innovator in the financial services sector, is seeking a highly skilled Lead Quantitative Analyst to drive the development and implementation of sophisticated trading strategies. This role is pivotal in shaping our firm's algorithmic trading capabilities and is offered as a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute from anywhere. You will be at the forefront of financial modeling, employing advanced statistical and mathematical techniques to build, test, and deploy complex trading algorithms. This involves deep dives into market microstructure, risk management, and portfolio optimization.
Responsibilities will encompass: Designing, developing, and backtesting quantitative trading strategies across various asset classes. Implementing algorithms in production trading systems using languages such as Python, C++, or R. Conducting in-depth market research and data analysis to identify profitable trading opportunities. Collaborating with portfolio managers and traders to refine strategy performance and risk profiles. Monitoring live trading performance, identifying deviations, and implementing necessary adjustments. Developing and maintaining robust risk management frameworks for trading activities. Staying current with financial market trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements. Mentoring junior quantitative analysts and contributing to the team's technical growth. Effectively communicating complex analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Physics, with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in quantitative finance, ideally within a remote trading environment. Proven success in developing and deploying profitable algorithmic trading strategies is a must. Expertise in statistical modeling, time series analysis, machine learning, and proficiency in programming languages (Python, C++) are essential. Strong understanding of financial markets and derivatives is required. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are expected.
