About
The Lead Recruiter is responsible for leading others who are responsible for recruitment by developing and implementing talent acquisition strategies, utilizing social media jobsites to attract top talent, and sourcing viable candidates for hard-to-fill positions for GSC’s corporate office and field offices. This position is responsible for posting job vacancies, screening candidates, developing interview questions, setting up interviews, managing the recruitment and onboarding process, and establishing appropriate recruitment metrics.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead the recruitment cycle from the job posting to the candidate placement.
- Assist other recruiters and employment coordinators in the region with developing recruitment strategies to source for open positions in their respective regions.
- Develop business relationships with Corporate and Property Managers to maintain an understanding of their current and future industry challenges.
- Keep a pulse on recruitment metrics and KPIs offering insightful reports to management on the teams’ achievements, market dynamics, and recruitment hurdles.
- Run weekly and monthly recruitment reports to include source of hire reports, attrition, headcount, and turnover rate, open and closed positions, etc.
- Responsible for attending job fairs and outside events to boost the GSC brand and attract talent.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state laws impacting recruitment.
- Ensure job descriptions are up to date and meet current standards.
- Ensure job postings meet federal, state, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), and compliance requirements.
- Serve as subject matter expert on how to navigate the applicant tracking system (ATS) and job boards (LinkedIn, Indeed and Zip Recruiter, etc.).
- Maintain relationships with job board Account Managers to ensure jobs are properly listed and sponsored.
- Ensure candidate skills assessments, testing, and hiring processes adhere to all EEO legislation, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and other government compliance requirements.
- Provide exceptional levels of customer service and timely follow-up with applicants and internal employees.
- Draft recruitment and onboarding related Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs) and training documents.
- Conduct salary and hourly wage competitive marketing research.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Business Administration, or related field with HR. A Recruitment certification seen as a bonus.
- Five (5) years of progressive HR experience, with a particular emphasis in recruiting and retention.
- Two (2) years prior supervisory experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws/regulations and familiarity with I-9, criminal background check, credit checks, drug screenings, and motor vehicle reports.
- Thorough knowledge of equal employment opportunity laws, ADA, EEO, FLSA, and other government compliance regulations that affect job recruitment.
- Successful record of building and improving operational processes and procedures, ability to drive program efficiency and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Experience identifying and resolving issues independently - solid sense of accountability and sound personal judgment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all levels of the organization, specific strength in influencing decision makers, as well as setting and managing expectations.
- Ability to multi-task and be proactive in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities, deadlines, and workloads.
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Experienced and skilled in Microsoft Office applications.
- Exceptional proficiency with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) software systems. Prior experience working with Paylocity (preferred).
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and confidentially process and maintain accurate data with minimal oversight.
- Ability to analyze information, perform basic mathematical computations using Microsoft Excel, and run ad hoc and custom reports.
- Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service, and follow-up.
