Join a rapidly expanding recruitment consultancy based in Welkom, Free State, ZA, seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Lead Recruitment Consultant specializing in the technology sector. This hybrid role offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-office collaboration, fostering a productive and engaging work environment. As a Lead Consultant, you will be instrumental in driving business development, managing client relationships, and leading a team of talented recruiters. Your expertise will lie in sourcing, screening, and placing high-caliber IT professionals across various specializations, including software development, cybersecurity, data analytics, and cloud computing.

You will be responsible for understanding client needs, developing effective recruitment strategies, and ensuring a seamless candidate experience from initial contact through to offer negotiation and onboarding. This position demands a strong understanding of the tech landscape, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven track record of exceeding targets. You will also mentor and guide junior consultants, contributing to the overall success and growth of the recruitment team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities, coupled with a deep understanding of recruitment best practices and talent acquisition methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic recruitment plans to meet client demands in the technology sector.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for IT roles, from sourcing to offer acceptance.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, understanding their hiring needs and providing expert advice.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of recruitment consultants, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Drive business development initiatives to expand the client base and secure new recruitment mandates.
  • Utilize advanced sourcing techniques and tools to identify and engage passive and active candidates.
  • Conduct thorough candidate screenings, interviews, and reference checks.
  • Negotiate employment offers and manage the onboarding process for successful placements.
  • Stay informed about market trends, salary benchmarks, and emerging technologies within the IT industry.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of recruitment processes and methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in recruitment, with a significant focus on the technology sector.
  • Proven track record of success in business development and client relationship management.
  • Demonstrable leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and manage a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of the technology job market and relevant skill sets.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment software and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is preferred. This role requires approximately 2-3 days per week in our Welkom office.
