Job Summary
The Lead Revenue Accountant plays a critical role in overseeing complex accounting operations while ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial data for U.S. entities. This position is vital in managing financial reporting and providing insightful support to various departments, including plant controllers, external auditors, and corporate finance teams. The ideal candidate will have specialized expertise in revenue accounting, particularly within the Med Tech sector, and knowledge of IFRS 15 is essential. This role also involves project management and collaboration across different teams.
- This position requires working onsite in Lake Zurich, IL 3 days per week; remaining days may be worked remotely.
- This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship either now or in the future.
- Salary Range: $90,000-109,000
- Position is eligible for an annual bonus plan with a target of 6% of the base salary.
- Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including experience, education, and skills.

Responsibilities
- Ensure timely reconciliation of assigned accounts in accordance with monthly close schedules and guidelines, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare detailed schedules and analyses supporting rebate reserves.
- Review customer contracts to ensure revenue recognition aligns with IFRS 15 standards.
- Prepare monthly journal entries.
- Analyze significant estimates and accruals, updating assumptions accordingly and preparing related journal entries and reconciliations.
- Maintain and ensure compliance with internal controls and month-end close procedures.
- Stay updated on U.S. GAAP and IFRS requirements as pertinent to the role.
- Provide guidance on proper accounting treatment for new transactions.
- Prepare complex quarterly and annual reporting schedules to comply with legal and management reporting requirements, collaborating with reporting unit controllers.
- Assist reporting units in correcting errors and resolving issues.
- Prepare schedules for year-end and quarterly audits; interact with audit teams to address open items and audit concerns.
- Support internal control processes.
- Cross-train and serve as a backup for other Senior Accountants.
- Lead and support special projects as needed.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance; MBA is a plus.
- CPA is preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with large ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
