As a Lead Security Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity & Tech Controls team, you play a vital role on an agile team to design and deliver trusted technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You implement essential technology solutions across diverse technical domains and support network security functions to achieve the firm's strategic goals. You help foster a collaborative team culture and drive improvements in security risk posture.

Responsibilities

• Execute creative software solutions and automated testing frameworks across design, development, and technical troubleshooting
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others
• Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability
• Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and emerging technologies
• Collaborate closely with internal network security product teams to deliver solutions that enhance the firm's security risk posture

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and five years applied experience
• Around 8 years of proven experience in full-stack software development using Java and Spring Boot technologies in AWS/cloud environments
• Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, ReactJS, and AWS Cloud
• Hands‑on experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks and tools
• Experience building maintainable UI test suites with modern frameworks such as Selenium
• Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices
• Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Maven, Git)
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage software engineering teams
• Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline
• Proven record of providing end‑user support with excellent problem‑solving abilities

• Experience working at code level
• Enthusiasm for learning new technologies, with a focus on Gen AI
